Poem to Tom Robinson

An honest worker

worked for a plantation

with few salary

but still enjoyed his life.

An friendly giver

did heavy stuff for weak lady

without pay

but willing to give hands to others.

One day,

Things changed.

The world was not the world he used to know.

A indecent black man

wanted to kiss a white lady.

How dare he do things like that?

He was sent into prison.

An innocent criminal

could not bear the disgrace.

He escaped from the jail

but got shot by the guard.
